Remote Payroll Process Design Consultant – Baltic Region (Ref. #26176)
For a global payroll transformation programme, we are looking for an experienced Process Design Support professional with strong expertise in payroll operations, HR processes, and payroll implementation projects.
The role focuses on supporting the implementation across the Baltic countries and requires the ability to bridge business requirements, local payroll regulations, and system configuration. The consultant will work closely with country payroll teams, implementation partners, vendor development teams, and technical stakeholders to ensure that payroll processes are compliant, standardised, and aligned with the global payroll operating model.
- Experience with payroll processes in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania is highly advantageous.
- Design, document, and optimise payroll processes in alignment with global standards and local legislative requirements.
- Act as functional subject matter expert for payroll processes throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with in-country payroll teams, implementation partners, technical teams, and vendor development teams.
- Ensure that system configuration accurately reflects business requirements and local payroll needs.
- Support the adaptation of global payroll processes to local requirements while maintaining standardisation.
- Co-own the development and execution of functional test plans, User Acceptance Testing, and service rehearsals.
- Validate system functionality and support the resolution of payroll process, configuration, and data-related issues.
- Manage functional escalations during implementation, hypercare, and transition to business-as-usual operations.
- Serve as a key point of contact for in-country payroll teams during project delivery and operational handover.
- Support business readiness, change adoption, and the successful transition to new payroll processes and ways of working.
- Provide specialist expertise in HR operations and payroll processes to ensure efficient, compliant, and scalable solutions.
- Proven experience in payroll process design, payroll operations, or payroll transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes and HR operations.
- Experience in payroll implementations, process harmonisation, or global transformation programmes.
- Good understanding of payroll legislation, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with payroll system vendors, implementation partners, and technical delivery teams.
- Hands-on experience with functional testing, User Acceptance Testing, and service validation.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into process and system solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across business, functional, and technical teams in an international project environment.
- Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-driven working style.
- Payroll process experience in the Baltic countries, especially Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
- Experience in global payroll operating models.
- Previous involvement in hypercare, transition, or business-as-usual handover phases.
- Knowledge of HRIS, payroll platforms, or payroll vendor delivery models.
